Greetings, fellow residents of Zorra. I'm excited to be running to be your next Mayor of Zorra Township, and I look forward to meeting you. In the meantime, let me tell you a bit about myself.

I was born and raised in Ingersoll and then Woodstock. In high school I worked at Caressant Care Retirement & Nursing Home and developed a love for seniors. After studying Animal Care at Sheridan College, I worked as an Animal Care Technician at Wellington Animal Hospital in Woodstock, and joined the Board of Directors for the local Humane Society, helping organize two city parades to raise awareness for pets in need of adoption.
After marrying and starting a family, I became a self-employed Home Childcare Provider with Oxford Community Child Care. A few years later, after becoming a single mom, I took a Basic Millwright program at Fanshawe College and spent 20 years in industrial steel work in Woodstock and Ingersoll. During that time I married a long-time resident of Zorra and moved into this wonderful township 8 years ago.
Having a love for children, I became the crossing guard in Thamesford in 2021. After encouraging the children and waving to every vehicle that passed by, I was invited by the townspeople to be the Grand Marshall of the Calithumpian Parade — what a joy it was to be honoured that way! I've continued to stay involved in this community that I love:

Together with my husband, I've been creating a happy homestead of ducks and goats to bring smiles to our growing number of grandchildren. We've discovered that our corral of critters has become a joyful attraction to Zorra residents as well — embracing country life in Zorra!
